Illinois State Capitol – Phase 2

Construction on the Illinois State Capitol began in 1868 with a French Renaissance and Italianate style. The four wing design is laid out with beautiful wood double hung windows and restoration of the North Wing is the 2nd phase for Re-View Windows.

The Illinois State Capitol scope of work exercised Re-View’s historic replication and restoration capabilities, something that seldom happens on this scale. Original sashes were removed from the building and brought back to Re-View’s 50,000+ square foot facility for restoration, before being returned back to their openings. Sashes that were identified for replication were fabricated down to the last detail and profile.

The Capitol building is a beautiful representation of our state government model and we look forward to additional phases.
